Save a dog's life today!

Who doesn’t love a cute puppy? We all do! But unfortunately, Bethel and the YK Delta do not have enough adoptive homes for the number of dogs in the region. That’s where Bethel Friends of Canines steps in to lead pet rescue efforts through coordinating volunteer foster homes, operating the Bethel pound, making local adoption matches, arranging air travel for rescued pets and so much more.

Bethel Friends of Canines has done an amazing job since they opened their (virtual, since they didn’t have a facility then!) doors in 2011. They could use a leg up to continue that into the future. In 2022 BFK9 logged 628 pets coming through their (now actual, physical!) doors and spayed or neutered nearly 150 pets in Tuntutuliak, Goodnews Bay and Eek.

With the support of people like you, pets of the YK Delta will have opportunities to find their forever homes for generations to come and unwanted or surrendered puppies will become a problem of the past.
