KYUK and Bethel Community Services Foundation have partnered to honor the life and legacy of John Active, a giant in native media and passionate advocate of Yup'ik language and culture. This scholarship will give preference to college students pursuing a degree in one or more of the following fields: journalism, indigenous language, multimedia, or communications.
